Equipment
- Measuring scale (grams) — accuracy, and so every unit contains the same amount
- Glass stirring stick
- Laboratory spatula, for the powders
- Small brush, to dilute the pigment into the oil
- 50 mL glass beaker
- Alcohol wipes, rubber gloves, mask
- 01
Add the plant-based oil — 5 g jojoba — to the beaker.
- 02
Add 0.1 g flower-pigmented powder. Whisk with the small brush until the pigment is fully dissolved at the bottom, so it is a dilute, even solution.
- 03
Add the waxes — 1 g beeswax and 1 g candelilla wax.
- 04
Warm on low heat until the waxes are fully melted.
- 05
Add the actives — 0.5 g vitamin E (about one drop) and 0.5 g ceramide.
- 06
Add 8 drops of natural fragrance.
- 07
Mix thoroughly until everything is one uniform solution.
- 08
Pour into containers to about 90% of the brim. Do not overfill — the lids won't close.
